I’m designing and building my own pair of custom, hearing-enhancing wearables.
Glasses used to be avoided at all costs.
Now they’re cool.
Earbuds used to just be functional accessories.
Now they’re cool.
Why aren’t wearables that give you superhuman hearing cool yet?!
I designed a concept product called Budds to show how hearing technology should be marketed.
See Budds.I always hated wearing hearing aids as a child so I completely refused to wear them. (This is the only picture I have of me wearing them!)
I guess I cared more about how my tribe saw me than whether or not I could even hear them.
I’ve had more awkward situations that I can count and missed so many important things that people said because I didn’t wear my hearing aids.
No one should have to give up their hearing just to feel like they fit in.
Have any killer ideas on how you would like to see Budds become a reality? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Even if you just want to say hi or share your story with hearing technology, I'm always up for a chat!
